Do Not Contact Policy

Safe AI Global Private LimitedEffective 28 August 2026

Safe AI Global Private Limited makes WhatsApp on Rails, which connects a real WhatsApp number to an API. Software like that can reach a lot of people very quickly. This policy sets out the limits we place on ourselves, the limits we require of everyone who uses what we build, and exactly how any person can tell us to stop.

2Adding someone to a group is contact

Adding someone to a group places them in front of every other member, exposes their number to people they have not met, and subscribes them to everything that follows, all without their agreement. Some tools treat this as a lesser act than sending a message, on the reasoning that no message was sent. We think that gets it backwards, because the person ends up receiving more, not less.

We treat a group add exactly as we treat a direct message. It requires prior, specific consent from that person, and it can be withdrawn at any time.

If a person asks to be removed from a group we operate, we remove them promptly and we do not add them again. If a person leaves a group on their own, we read that as a withdrawal of consent for that group and we do not re-add them. Anyone using our software must do the same.

3How to opt out

Any one of these is enough. You do not need to explain yourself, use particular words, create an account, or fill in a form.

Reply to the message
Send STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or the same request in your own words, in any language. Free text is honoured. Nobody should have to guess a keyword to be left alone.
Ask in a group
Post in the group or message the sender directly asking to be removed. Leaving the group yourself also counts as an opt out.
Block the sender
Blocking is an opt out. We treat a block as a permanent instruction and never route around it.
Email us
Write to tech@safeai.global with the subject line Do Not Contact, listing the WhatsApp numbers you want suppressed in full international format. Include a screenshot or the sending number if you have it, so we can trace the source.

4What happens once you do

  • We record the request within 24 hours of receiving it, and it takes effect across every list we control no later than seven days from that point.
  • Your number goes on a suppression list. That list exists for one purpose only, which is to make sure we never contact you again. It is never used for messaging, analytics, profiling or enrichment, and it is never shared for those purposes.
  • You may receive a single acknowledgement confirming the opt out. Nothing follows it.
  • The opt out is permanent. It stays in force until you ask us to resume, and we do not treat a new purchase, a new enquiry or the passage of time as a fresh consent.
  • We do not route around it. Not with a different number, a different brand, a different product line, or a different channel.
  • It costs nothing and it is not conditional on anything.

Suppressing a number means keeping a record of that number. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 this is retained because deleting it would defeat the purpose of the request. If you would rather we erased it entirely, tell us, and understand that we then lose the ability to recognise and honour the opt out in future.

5What we never do

  • Buy, rent, sell or trade phone numbers or contact lists.
  • Harvest numbers from group member lists to message people outside that group.
  • Send bulk unsolicited messages, whether promotional, political or transactional in disguise.
  • Re-add a person who left a group, or contact a person who blocked us.
  • Use a second number, an alias or an automated workaround to bypass a block or a suppression entry.
  • Misrepresent who is sending, or hide the identity of the business behind a message.
  • Send at machine cadence in a way that puts a recipient under pressure or a number at risk.

6If you operate a number, you are the sender

Whether you use the hosted WAM service or run the software yourself, the messages leave from your linked number, and you decide whom it writes to. Safe AI Global does not choose your recipients and cannot know who has asked you to stop, so honouring an opt out is your responsibility. We will act on reports we receive, but the first line is you.

By using the software you agree to:

  • Collect and retain a record of consent for every number you message or add to a group.
  • Maintain your own suppression list and check it before every send and every group add.
  • Honour opt outs on the timeline in this policy, or a stricter one if your law requires it.
  • Identify yourself clearly in your messages and make the opt out route obvious.
  • Keep within the WhatsApp Terms of Service and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.
  • Never use the software to send to a person who has withdrawn consent.
  • Check any automation you switch on against your suppression list. A reply that a flow sent while you were asleep is still a message you sent.

The software is built so you can meet these obligations rather than merely intend to. Send rate limits cannot be bypassed, bulk calls report per recipient so a failed delivery is visible to you, and the inbound event stream carries the opt out replies you are required to act on. What it cannot do is act on them for you.

7The law that applies on top of this

This policy is our own standard, and it sits underneath whatever law applies to you and to us. Where the two differ, follow the stricter one.

In India, commercial messaging is governed by the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 and the customer preference registers maintained under them, by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 which requires notice and consent before personal data is processed, and by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where a message carries a commercial claim.

Outside India, rules such as the General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Directive in the European Economic Area, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations in the United Kingdom, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and CAN-SPAM Act in the United States may apply to your sending. This list is not exhaustive and nothing here is legal advice.

WhatsApp on Rails is an independent product and connects through the WhatsApp Web multi-device protocol rather than the official Cloud API. Your number stays subject to WhatsApp’s terms while you use it; our Terms of Service set out what that means.

8Reporting a breach of this policy

If you received a WhatsApp message or a group add from Safe AI Global, or from someone using our software, that you believe breached this policy, tell us. Email tech@safeai.global with the sending number, the receiving number, and the message text or a screenshot with its timestamp.

We acknowledge every report within three working days. Where the sender is a customer of ours, we investigate, require correction within a fixed window, and suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches. Where the sender is not connected to us, we will tell you that plainly rather than leave you waiting.

9Changes to this policy

We publish changes on this page with a new effective date. Material changes take effect no earlier than fourteen days after publication, and we will not apply a weakened standard retroactively to an opt out already on record.
